Banana

In perfumery, the essence of many fruits cannot be extracted naturally. And the banana is no exception to the rule. Its exotic and summery scent is entirely reproduced thanks to synthetic chemistry. The main odorant compound of this fruit is isoamyl acetate, which is recreated through the assembly of various odorant molecules in the laboratory. Its smell is fruity, with sweet and gourmand notes that also exhale green nuances. If we are many to like to taste it, the banana is still little used by the perfumers.
