Carambola

The carambola, also known as the goa apple or starfruit, is a small fruit native to Asia and comes from the carambola tree. This amber yellow fruit grows in tropical regions and once cut, it looks like a five-pointed star. It often decorates the rims of cocktail glasses! The carambola is known for its cosmetic benefits. It contains a lot of zinc and is therefore particularly suitable for treating problem skin. As for perfumery, starfruit cannot be extracted naturally, like many fruits. Its fragrance is smooth with a nice touch of acidity that places it between the sweetness of exotic fruits and the vivacity of citrus. Little used in the compositions at present, this raw material reveals a fresh and juicy smell very interesting.
