Cucumber

The cucumber is a fruit (and not a vegetable as we might think) that comes from the curcubitaceae family. Just like the squash or the melon. It is an herbaceous plant that produces a long fleshy fruit. Native to India, it has been cultivated for thousands of years for its fresh taste but also for its moisturizing and soothing properties in cosmetics. As early as the 18th century, women used it as a beauty remedy to lighten their complexion. In perfumery, its fresh and green notes seduce the noses. Generally placed in the top note, cucumber brings an herbaceous, tonic and watery aspect to compositions. It is found in particular in the eau de parfum alõ in which it reveals a shivering aspect.
