Elemi

Elemi is a gum resin produced by a large tree with whitish bark found in Southeast Asia and the Philippines. This raw material is also called Manila gum. By incising its trunk, it is possible to collect a thick and very malleable resin that is then distilled with steam to obtain the essential oil of elemi. Its syrupy texture resembles honey, which solidifies on contact with air. Elemi gives off a spicy and fresh scent, with lemony and slightly woody notes. Its scent is reminiscent of fennel and frankincense. According to some cultures, its perfume harmonizes the mind and invites meditation. Its spicy and elegant tones can be found in the eau de parfum alõ
