Honey

Honey, used in perfume in the form of absolute beeswax, gives to a fragrance a warm and sweet smell

Honey is a sweet substance made by bees from the nectar of flowers. In perfumery, there is no essential oil of honey. Perfumers can use the absolute of beeswax. After honey extraction, it is treated with volatile solvents. The product delivered is washed with alcohol to obtain the absolute. We can also reproduce a honey note thanks to the synthesis, in particular with phenylacetic acid whose odor is honeyed, but also green, woody and slightly vinegary. The honey note provides a warm, sweet scent and an animal touch.
