Incense

Incense is a raw material that comes from the resin of a tree and evokes spices, pepper or even the interior of a church

Incense comes from the bush resin that grows on arid and hot soils such as Ethiopia, Sudan, India or Somalia. Its function is to protect the tree against insects attacks. It is collected by bark incision, a method existing since Ancient Greece. Since that time, it has always been considered as a precious raw material, used for healing and religious rites. Incense has a camphoric, spicy, peppery smell and can remind us of bark, dusty wood or even the inside of churches. There are notes of incense in our fragrance 555.
