Rose (Centifolia and Damascena)

The rose exists under 2 varieties: centifolia and damascena. It is an indispensable ingredient of the perfumer

Symbol of femininity and love, the rose has been used in perfumes since Antiquity. Two varieties of roses are appreciated in perfumery. The first is Centifolia, cultivated in France and Morocco. Thanks to the extraction with solvents, it delivers the concret then the absolute of rose whose smell is hot, spicy and honeyed. We can also find a slight note of tobacco. Damascena rose, which is found mainly in Bulgaria and Turkey produces the essential oil by distillation of the petals. It has a citrus scent and its perfume is fresher and more intense than the absolute. Damascena rose is at the heart of a green and elegant bouquet in label rose, the most flowered of our fragrances.
