Not to be confused with clary sage, which is also a fragrant raw material, sage is an aromatic plant, of the lamiaceae family. It is native to Europe and the Mediterranean basin. It produces small purple flowers, but we use its leaves in perfumery, pharmacy and also in cooking. To obtain essential oil, the leaves of the plant are distilled with steam. This tonic essence will bring an aromatic and resinous, almost woody note. Used in both male and female juices, sage enhances the vitamin-enriched citrus cocktail of enkor. It is part of its warm and woody base.
