Lavinia est une véritable passionnée de parfum depuis son plus jeune âge. Elle partage sur son blog Les Plus Beaux Parfums de sa collection privée, et il y en a ! Elle aime décortiquer chaque note et chaque matière première d’une fragrance pour comprendre l’évolution des différents ingrédients sur la peau. Cette collectionneuse donne ainsi vie à sa propre interprétation d’une odeur.

C’est pour le pur parfum kilim, notre patchouli oriental hautement concentré, que Lavinia a craqué. À bord de kilim, un tapis d’Orient tissé dont le savoir-faire ancestral nous a inspiré le nom de cette fragrance, elle décèle des notes sucrées et poudrées. Ici, le patchouli se fait plus fruité que terreux et Lavinia se laisse transporter par des notes d’abricot qui frappent son imaginaire.

Selon elle, kilim est un parfum parfait pour une belle journée d’automne, qui l’accompagnera du matin jusqu’au soir, et fait désormais partie de sa Carrément Belle collection !

Do you think of oriental perfumes as being opulent and heady ? Here is another view of the Orient inspired by softer colours. First made by the nomads of the former Persian Empire, now used both as floor covering and mural decoration in the West, a kilim is a light, flat, mainly woollen carpet, woven like a tapestry. One of its most interesting features, abrash, only appears any longer in vintage carpets, dyed with vegetable dye-stuff. As a result, each colour has various shades and appears dappled. For Carrément Belle — a French perfumery, born in 1988 in the South of France, but expanding around the world since 1993 —, Frank Jammes imagined a perfume, named Kilim with notes of flowers and fruit, veiled by soft, fuzzy apricot and Indonesian patchouli. The overall effect is quite abstract. Aldehydes, naturally contained in orange peel and terpenes, dim the notes of Egyptian geranium, clove leaves, ylang, synthetic jasmine and lily of the valley, only to let them dart out and soar unexpectedly. The fruity, apple like patchouli underlines all this, along with Indonesian vetiver, amber and muscs. Kilim hence gives you a lasting aura rather than a huge sillage and is perfectly suited to office wear. One more thing : it costs half as much as fragrances from well known brands and contains natural ingredients, as well as the usual synthetic jasmine, muguet, amber, musk and fruit accords.
