3 INGREDIENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

VANILLA ABSOLUTE FROM UGANDA

Native to the Amazon, vanilla planifolia is an orchid that produces a fruit: the vanilla pods. The pods are harvested while still green and dry in the sun for several months before being crushed and then extracted with volatile solvents. The result is vanilla absolute with a warm, sweet and smooth fragrance.

ALMOND

Almond does not exist in its natural state in perfumery. Synthetic materials enable to reproduce its soft, powdery notes. It can be reconstituted thanks to benzaldehyde (obtained by the distillation of apricot stones), to heliotropin (from the heliotrope) or to coumarin (powerful active present notably in the tonka bean).

CARAMEL

It is not possible to extract an essence from the caramel, so its sweet and gourmand aroma is reproduced through synthesis. Its fragrance evokes burnt sugar and vanilla, combined with milky facets. It is a warm and comforting scent, almost balsamic.

OUR PERFUMED TIPS

HOW TO USE AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR CANDLE?

When using the candle for the first time, burn it for at least 1 hour. Ideally, always wait for the entire surface to melt before turning off the wick, then centre it while the wax is liquid. Before relighting the candle, clean and cut the wick at 5mm to avoid smoke and extend the life of your candle.

GIVE A SECOND LIFE TO YOUR CANDLE POT!

Like the bottles of our perfumes, the pots of our candles are screen-printed by a French decorator. They are then put in the oven to fix the design on the glass.

This quality allows you to reuse the jar of your candle once it is finished. Transform it into a candle holder or a flower pot that will welcome a greasy plant, keep in it your littles jewels or cotton in a bathroom, or slip some sweets into it in a kitchen!

HOW DO I CLEAN THE POT OF MY CANDLE?

Once your candle is off and the wax has cooled, remove the wick by hand or with a rod. If there is still a lot of wax on the inside, immerse the jar in a water bath to melt it and remove it easily with a spoon for example. Finish cleaning the jar with a damp and soapy cloth!
