Patchouli holds a special place in the Carrément Belle story.
This ingredient was already at the heart of our very first fragrance, ippi patchouli, whose formula contains more than 40% natural Indonesian patchouli. Over time, two other fragrances were created, always with the same desire to celebrate this raw material… but not only!
Approached as a living material, never fixed or static, patchouli is paired in our fragrances with carefully selected raw materials that preserve its depth while maintaining a clear and balanced composition, creating a distinctive and unique creative signature.

Patchouli is not worn only on the skin.
With Carrément Belle diffusers, its trail extends into your home, gently creating a warm, woody atmosphere true to the spirit of the house.
How to wear a patchouli fragrance (without altering its character)
Spray onto pulse points: the nape of the neck, neck, wrists, and inside of the elbows.
Avoid rubbing: let the fragrance evolve naturally.
On clothing, spray from a distance to prolong the sillage.
Alternate between eau de parfum and pure perfume depending on the season or the desired intensity.
Frequently asked questions about patchouli
A plant-based material with earthy and woody facets, sometimes resinous. Depending on the composition, it can feel more “raw,” more gourmand, or cleaner… which is why testing different interpretations is essential.
Eau de parfum and pure perfume share the same formula. The difference lies in their fragrance concentration. Pure perfume is more concentrated, making it more intense, with a stronger sillage and generally longer-lasting wear on the skin than an eau de parfum.
We believe in gender-inclusive perfumery: there is no reason for an ingredient to be inherently feminine or masculine. Let’s move beyond marketing labels and discover fragrances blindly: that’s often when the best surprises happen. Patchouli is above all worn according to personal desire, and our three interpretations (ippi patchouli, kilim, and ippi patchouli clair) suit both women and men perfectly.
