3 INGREDIENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT

PATCHOULI ESSENCE FROM INDONESIA

Patchouli is a tropical plant cultivated in Indonesia. Its leaves are dried in the sun and then distilled to obtain an essence. This mythical ingredient wins the World’s noses in the 70s with the hippie generation. Symbol of flower power, its unique scent with earthy, woody and vibrant notes lives through the ages.

TUBEROSE

Cultivated in India, the tuberose is a white star-shaped flower that delivers its essence by extraction with volatile solvents. Its scent is powerful and gives off a perfume of cream, wax, honey and tones of honeysuckle and orange blossom. It brings intensity and a sweet note.

LABDANUM ABSOLUTE FROM FRANCE

Cistus is a small shrub that grows in a garrigue environment. It produces a resin to protect itself, called labdanum. Once extracted, the resin gives off a woody and animal smell. Thanks to its properties, labdanum is also used as a fixative.

OUR PERFUMED TIPS

WHERE AND HOW TO PERFUME YOURSELF?

To become one with your perfume, spray it on the areas of your body that generate heat: in the neck, behind the ears, in the crook of the elbows or around the navel...

To enjoy it all the time and everywhere, you can perfume your clothes and accessories, and at home your curtains or even your pillows!

HOW TO CONSERVE YOUR FRAGRANCE?

In general, fragrances do not get along very well with heat, air and light. Therefore, avoid temperature variations, keep your perfume away from light and preferably keep your bottle upright, so that the juice has as little contact with the air as possible.

I CAN NO LONGER SMELL MY PERFUME: WHAT'S WRONG?

When you've been wearing a perfume for a while, you can feel like it smells less, or not at all. But don't worry, it's completely normal!

Because the brain uses our sense of smell above all to alert us of a potential danger: when it is used to a smell that it considers safe, it focuses its attention on the other scents around us. We then say that our nose falls asleep, as our brain no longer makes the effort to recognise our perfume.

In order to enjoy again that fragrance you like so much, you can try the pure perfume which is more concentrated and therefore more intense, or simply change your perfume for a while! You will have the pleasant surprise of rediscovering your favourite fragrance, and probably even new facets of it...

CAN I MIX SEVERAL FRAGRANCES? WHAT MIX & MATCH DO YOU RECOMMEND?

Nothing prevents you from mixing several perfumes, on the contrary: you will thus create a unique fragrance.

In our collection, certain fragrances go particularly well together: ippi patchouli and vanille, so and enkor, musc and label rose or even kilim and the original musc.

Start by spraying the most intense fragrance. Wait a few moments and then spray the lightest one on top to ensure a perfect harmony. Don't be afraid to dare!
