3 INGREDIENTS IN THE SPOTLIGHT
VANILLA ABSOLUTE FROM UGANDA
Native to the Amazon, vanilla planifolia is an orchid that produces a fruit: the vanilla pods. The pods are harvested while still green and dry in the sun for several months before being crushed and then extracted with volatile solvents. The result is vanilla absolute with a warm, sweet and smooth fragrance.
ALMOND
Almond does not exist in its natural state in perfumery. Synthetic materials enable to reproduce its soft, powdery notes. It can be reconstituted thanks to benzaldehyde (obtained by the distillation of apricot stones), to heliotropin (from the heliotrope) or to coumarin (powerful active present notably in the tonka bean).
CARAMEL
It is not possible to extract an essence from the caramel, so its sweet and gourmand aroma is reproduced through synthesis. Its fragrance evokes burnt sugar and vanilla, combined with milky facets. It is a warm and comforting scent, almost balsamic.

J'ai récemment découvert d'autres vanilles. Celle là reste mon essentielle et mon indétrônable. Toujours la meilleure vanille que je connaisse !

Ils ont tous une personnalité propre. Quand j'ai envie de me plonger dans un cocon, de me mettre dans une bulle, je privilégie plutôt Vanille ou Musc. Quand le soleil me manque et que je pense avec nostalgie aux plages gardoises, je porte Iodé ou Ippi Patchouli. Et quand une journée compliquée m'attend et que je besoin de force je porte Kilim. Chacun d'eux constitue le lien entre l'enfant que j'étais et l'adulte que je suis devenue, un lien tout à fait affectif. J'ai toujours aimé les parfums et été très sensible à toutes les odeurs qui m'entourent mais les parfums carrément belle ont toujours évoqué mes racines, celles que je ne dois pas oublier et vers lesquelles je reviens toujours.
